THE BAD NEWS FIRST...
The 6 most common conditions that can negatively affect your fertility are:

It’s been estimated that 1 in 10 women in their childbearing age are affected by PCOS. And more than HALF of women with PCOS are undiagnosed. PCOS is responsible for 70% of infertility issues in women who have difficulty ovulating. PCOS can be a complex condition to identify because very few women have the same set of symptoms.
Around 30 to 50 percent of woman struggling with infertility suffer from endometriosis. Unfortunately, this condition is hugely under-diagnosed. On average, it takes 10 years from symptom onset to receive an accurate diagnosis! This is a painful, chronic disease that affects at least 6.3 million women and girls in the U.S., with one-third to one-half of affected women experiencing fertility challenges. That’s 2 - 3 million women affected - and about half of them don’t even realize they have endometriosis. The bottomline is that approximately 1 million women don’t realize endometriosis is impacting their ability to conceive. And if you don’t know, the condition remains untreated.
Fibroids are most often found in women over age 30. Some estimates state that between 30 to 77 percent of women will develop fibroids sometime during their childbearing years, but only about one-third of these fibroids are large enough to be detected by a health care provider during a physical examination.
Fibroids can grow anywhere in the uterus; however, growing closer to the center of the uterus is linked to more bleeding related symptoms and infertility.
Up to 35% of repeat miscarriages are linked to low progesterone production. Progesterone is a female sex hormone produced mainly in the ovaries following ovulation each month and is one of the main hormones involved in helping to regulate the menstrual cycle. It’s a crucial component for conception and maintaining a pregnancy.
Progesterone is responsible for important functions like:
Estrogen is vital for a healthy menstrual cycle and optimal fertility. Unfortunately, in our modern world, over 90% of women have too much estrogen and not enough progesterone. All too often, the delicate orchestra of hormones is interrupted, causing fertility problems for so many women.
When there is too much estrogen in the luteal phase, our entire cycle is thrown off and fertility is negatively affected. We start experiencing estrogen dominance symptoms like loss of energy, low libido, headaches, water retention, weight gain and more.
Blocked Fallopian Tubes, known as tubal factor infertility, is thought to be the cause of infertility in 40% of infertile women. Fallopian tubes are extremely fragile. If one or both fallopian tubes are blocked, the egg cannot reach the uterus, and the sperm cannot reach the egg, preventing fertilization and pregnancy. Women often don’t know they have blocked fallopian tubes until they are trying to get pregnant and are running into issues.
While some women have an “official” diagnosis from a doctor, many of you reading this may in fact be struggling with one or more of the above conditions, and not even know it.
And if you haven’t started trying to get pregnant yet, these issues can go virtually unnoticed until you’re 9-12 months into the “trying to conceive” journey.
So many women are frustrated by the length of time they must try before doctors or the medical community will take them seriously!
9 months is a long time! Long enough to have a baby in your arms. Most women I see in my practice want information they can use RIGHT NOW.

Chances are it’s been a long time since your sex-ed class in school (and it was probably sprinkled with some misinformation and lots of holes). To empower you with the knowledge you need to take a proactive role in your fertility and pregnancy, I will give you a thorough review of the menstrual cycle so you’ll know exactly what’s going on during each phase of your monthly cycle. If you're trying to get pregnant now, understanding how to interpret fertile cues is imperative so you know IF and WHEN you're ovulating. With modern medicine, we’ve lost our innate knowledge about our bodies - we’ve come to rely more on science and medical authorities and have become less attuned to our own bodies and how they are functioning.
Getting to know the menstrual cycle is key to understanding fertility. A woman needs to appreciate what is happening inside her body at every phase of the month so that she can interpret signs and symptoms, and work with natural rhythms to enhance fertility.

Hi!
I’m Sarah Jane Sandy, functional nutrition therapist and women’s health expert. I’m passionate about helping women fix their hormonal chaos, get pregnant, stay pregnant, and finally experience motherhood.
I’VE HELPED HUNDREDS OF WOMEN OVER THE LAST 13 YEARS OVERCOME THEIR FERTILITY ISSUES SO THEY ARE ABLE TO FINALLY GET PREGNANT AND HAVE A HEALTHY, VIBRANT PREGNANCY.
As a teen and into my 20’s, my menstrual cycle was irregular, sometimes absent for months at a time. No medication or doctors helped. A naturopath was the first person to ask me about my diet, my lifestyle, and my emotional health. She was truly interested in figuring out WHY my body was breaking down at the young age of 22.
Within 4 weeks of implementing her food-based treatment plan, I had my first menstrual cycle in years. This experience fueled my fascination with food and its ability to heal.
I enrolled at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Colorado to complete the graduate program in nutrition therapy. This program teaches a science-based holistic approach to nutrition rooted in the conviction that:
FOOD, AS NATURE INTENDED, IS A FORM OF MEDICINE THAT CAN HEAL, PROTECT,
NURTURE AND SUPPORT HEALTH.
I came to understand our modern lives with the endless to-do lists, over consumption of frankenfoods, exposure to household chemicals and products, addiction to electronic devices and lack of nature and quiet time is unknowingly taking a major toll on the delicate hormonal orchestra of the body.
Eventually I completely restored my own hormonal health!
WHEN HORMONES ARE OUT OF WHACK, PREGNANCY BECOMES DIFFICULT. BUT THERE IS A WAY TO NATURALLY RESTORE YOUR INNATE HORMONE EQUILIBRIUM TO OPTIMIZE YOUR FERTILITY AND HAVE A HEALTHY, FULL-TERM PREGNANCY.
I’d love to help empower you with the knowledge you need. Certainly I hope you won’t have fertility issues when you decide to try for a baby. But I know at least 6 million women in the U.S. will have trouble … and this e-book is a fantastic way to address potential problems sooner, rather than later, and before too many disappointments have taken their toll.
I wish you each a healthy, happy pregnancy when you’re ready!
Love,
Sarah Jane
